We invite you to submit your symposium proposal
A satellite educational symposium, held in conjunction with the 2024 Pan Pacific Lymphoma Conference, is offered as an industry-supported accredited continuing education activity and is not part of the official program of the conference. Each symposium is evaluated by the UNMC PPLC Planning Committee to ensure that the educational content will enhance what is provided by the official PPLC scientific program. Each activity is accredited by UNMC for physician and nursing credits.
There will be five exclusive two-hour time slots available for satellite educational symposiums at the conference. Time assignments will be made in the order in which applications are received and funded. Additional time slots may be added if necessary.

1UNMC will review the proposed educational symposium faculty to ensure that no one individual is overutilized or committed. In addition, UNMC recommends using one of the conference directors to participate as part of the educational symposium (e.g., moderator, panel member, speaker).
2A sample evaluation document as well as follow-up survey samples must be submitted as part of the proposal.
3UNMC CCE will submit the funding request.
UNMC is committed to ensuring the independence of the scientific and educational content of each satellite symposium from commercial bias. We are also committed to ensuring compliance with the evolving rules and guidelines for continuing medical education. As such, each satellite educational symposium must:
- Be designed to improve practitioner competence and/or performance (Levels 4 and 5 outcomes as defined by Moore et al1);
- Demonstrate best practice and objectivity and should be free of commercial bias for or against any product;
- Present information that provides attendees with an objective viewpoint; is balanced and scientifically rigorous; and educational content that is distinct from those presented at the 2024 Pan Pacific Lymphoma Conference;
- Promote improvement or quality in health care;
- Adhere to the policies and guidelines of the Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
A symposium proposal must be reviewed and approved by the UNMC PPLC Planning Committee prior to submission to potential supporters. The symposium educational grant request will be submitted to potential supporters by UNMC CCE, the accredited provider.
It is highly recommended that a satellite educational symposium be supported by multiple parties.
All funds will be made payable to UNMC for distribution to third parties upon the agreed payment schedule and signed letters of agreement.
The symposium content, faculty, printed collateral materials, and all other aspects of the symposium must be approved by UNMC to ensure that these are consistent with the policies and requirements of the Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.
Once approved, changes to the educational symposium agenda or faculty cannot be made without written request and approval from the UNMC PPLC Planning Committee.
The symposium proposal must be submitted via email to Brenda Ram.
A $50,000 fee will be assessed for each approved symposium. This fee covers the complimentary meeting space, physician and nursing accreditation and a one time email distribution to conference registrants. If an enduring material is also produced from this symposium, an additional $10,000 fee will be assessed. All other expenses are the responsibility of the educational provider.
