2024 NPQIC Fall Summit: Transforming Perinatal Care for All Nebraskans

The Nebraska Perinatal Quality Improvement Collaborative (NPQIC) provides evidence-based knowledge and expertise to providers and nurses caring for mothers and newborns. The 2024 NPQIC Fall Summit will cultivate a deeper understanding of the complex landscape influencing disparities in maternal and infant health outcomes. Sessions will equip health care teams with the most up-to-date practices around nutrition in pregnancy, syphilis in the perinatal period, substance use in pregnancy, engaging patient partners in quality improvement (QI), and understanding data for QI. Summit sessions will provide an opportunity for networking and exchanging knowledge.

Summit Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:

1. Discuss updates from the NPQIC involving evidence-based and equitable approaches to addressing substance use, nutrition, and syphilis in the perinatal period.
2. Identify ways to engage patient partners and utilize data to inform quality improvement efforts.
3. Describe opportunities to reduce disparities in maternal and infant health outcomes through transformative change.
4. Foster new connections by working together to strategize ways to improve perinatal outcomes for mothers and infants in Nebraska.

The registration fee to attend the summit is $75.

If you need to cancel your registration, please email conted@unmc.edu no later than Sept. 20, 2024. There is a $25 processing fee for cancellations made by Sept. 21. Cancellations made after this date and registrants who fail to attend are responsible for the full registration fee.
