This module is part of the Region VII Radiation Response Team Training (Enduring Material Module Series).

The Session 1 module will provide an overview of radiation incident response and the critical components to support appropriate and timely protective actions for the public and emergency workers.

Describe radiation incidents overview: Radiological Dispersal Device/Radiological Exposure Device, transportation, nuclear detonation, and Nuclear Power Plant.

Identify radiation protection applied to emergency response: protective actions and zones.
Discuss maintaining situational awareness through data collection and sharing.
