This virtual conference will provide important medical information for stroke caregivers throughout Nebraska and Western Iowa. Case study presentations will include visual aids, discussion of patient history, diagnosis, and treatment options. A facilitated discussion provide insights into the best diagnostic, management approaches, and evidence-based treatment.
This conference is intended for stroke neurologist, neurology residents, and healthcare professionals (nurse practitioners and physician assistants) involved in care of stroke patients.
At the conclusion of this conference, the participant should be better able to:
- Discuss unusual stroke etiologies
- Describe available treatment options for patient with uncommon causes of stroke
- Determine the appropriate management of stroke patient with uncommon etiologies
