Comprehensive Parkinson's Disease Care
Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:
- Identify early signs and symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease.
- Recognize the ongoing research focusing on disease modification strategies in PD.
- Describe the possible neuropsychiatric complications in PD.
- State the roles of physical and occupational therapy in PD and the importance of exercise.
- Explain non-motor complications of PD including autonomic dysfunction.
- Discuss the surgical and non-surgical management options of advanced PD.
- Discuss the identification and management of weight loss in PD.
- Identify the role of speech therapy in PD.

Cancel/Refund Policy
If you need to cancel your registration, you must do so in writing to conted@unmc.edu no later than April 22, 2024. Cancellations made by April 22 will be charged a $25 processing fee. Cancellations made after April 22, as well as registrants who fail to attend without prior notification, will be responsible for the full registration fee.
