Grey Matters: Brain and Spine Cancer Symposium

This symposium is designed to update the target audience on the current multi-disciplinary approach to patients with newly diagnosed or recurrent gliomas. Presentations will be delivered by key thought leaders while allowing the opportunity for participants to be involved in the interactive question/answer sessions.

Symposium Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  1. Discuss cutting-edge brain and spine cancer research initiatives and resources originating from trials at Nebraska Medicine.
  2. Summarize the collective responsibility of the multidisciplinary team approach in managing patients with newly diagnosed or recurrent gliomas for optimized patient outcomes while emphasizing shared accountability.
  3. Explain the importance of obtaining molecular testing in brain tumor patients for more personalized treatment strategies.
  4. Explain how gliomas can impact patients’ cognitive and physical function.
