Agricultural Health and Safety Course for Medical and Safety Professionals
This course is designed to examine key health and safety issues specific to rural and agricultural workers.
Experts will present course material relevant to those working in health care, public health, education, and safety professions.
Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Evaluate the core elements of agricultural health and safety.
- Distinguish the anticipation, recognition, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational and environmental illnesses and injuries within rural and agricultural communities.
- Examine safety hazards, emergency response, mitigation methods, and personal protection required for agricultural workers and locate educational resources for patients and stakeholders.

Sessions A and/or B
- Sign in each day.
- Attend the selected session in its entirety.
- Complete the online post-test for each selected session (open-book, with 70% accuracy).
- Complete the evaluation survey for the selected session.

- Review all four online modules in their entirety.
- Complete the online post-test (open-book, with 70% accuracy).
- Complete the evaluation survey.

As a way of saying thank you to rural and urban health care providers, emergency services personnel, and those who provide other essential services to our communities, this course is offered free of charge. However, registration is required.
The deadline to register is July 1, 2024.
