This symposium is designed to equip our partners with the tools and resources needed to enhance the response to urgent events while celebrating the work and sacrifice of emergency medical services to our communities.

Symposium Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:

  1. Discuss evidence-based medical approaches in the treatment and management of neurological and cardiovascular emergencies such as cardiogenic shock and hemorrhagic stroke.
  2. Identify patients that may be undergoing stroke or cardiovascular emergency utilizing various shared tools while also teaching current best practices when working with those patients outside of a hospital setting and in the field.
  3. Describe innovative and cutting-edge procedures used to treat stroke or cardiovascular emergency patients, while demonstrating an understanding of the related anatomy and its general functions.

Target Audience

This continuing education activity is designed for emergency medical services professionals.
