Welcome! Thank you for joining us.
This case-based conference is designed to review real-life, unique, and rare cases in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, and oral surgery. We invite participants to submit the scariest of cases to be presented and discussed in an open, collaborative forum.
Saturday, Oct. 26

At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:
- Demonstrate how to detect otolaryngologic conditions that can easily be missed in a routine exam.
- Identify potential pitfalls inherent to the practice of otolaryngology that may lead to adverse outcomes or put patients at risk.
- Discuss legal principles of medical malpractice and identify ways to minimize the risk of malpractice in the everyday practice of otolaryngology.
- Recognize the role of each of our collaborating departments in treating patients with head and neck pathologies.
- Apply lessons learned from the management of particularly tough cases to clinical practice.
