2024 Diabetes Update (Attendee Information)

The 2024 Diabetes Update symposium will provide an update on diabetes management with an emphasis on glucose management and the pregnant patient. Other topics will include medication updates, obesity management, clinical nutrition, and care of the geriatric diabetes population.
Symposium Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:
- Integrate medical management strategies for patients with gestational diabetes or diabetes and pregnancy.
- Recognize optimal management of obesity-related to people living with diabetes.
- Discuss how to interpret data from technology and implement it into pattern management within diabetes practice.
- Identify medications available for the treatment of patients with diabetes.
- Examine the impact of nutrition on patients with diabetes.
- Describe the treatment of diabetes in the geriatric population.
- Integrate into practice the appropriate treatment of metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) in the patient with diabetes.
