5th Annual Heartland Interprofessional Education Conference - Collaborating for Competency: Promoting Interprofessional Education and Practice
The 5th Annual Heartland Interprofessional Education Conference provides an opportunity to share knowledge, build skills, experience professional development, and form collaborative relationships among learners, scholars, and practitioners in health care and interprofessional education. This year’s conference will focus on collaborating for competency – in learning, research, and practice.
Conference Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:
- Identify the benefits of collaborative learning, practice, and research within the health care team.
- Discuss how to incorporate the principles of interprofessional education and practice into your own field or specialty.
- Develop collaborative relationships with learners, researchers, and practitioners to engage in shared patient-centered problem-solving.
- Articulate the importance of developing and measuring interprofessional competence to improve team collaboration and patient care.
Call for Abstracts
We invite participants to submit abstracts of presentations and workshops that complement the overall theme "Collaborating for Competency: Promoting Interprofessional Education and Practice" to be presented and discussed during the conference.

+Group Registration Discount
Groups of six or more from the same institution attending the full conference are eligible for the discounted rate of $125 per person. To receive this discount, you must submit the names and email addresses of those in your group before registering. Contact Jackie Farley for the discount information. Please note that this group discount will not be added or refunded after one has registered for the full rate.

Cancel/Refund Policy
If you need to cancel your registration, please email conted@unmc.edu no later than July 19, 2023. There is a $25 processing fee for cancellations made by July 19. Cancellations made after this date and registrants who fail to attend are responsible for the full registration fee.
Also, please note that we will not add or refund the group discount for those who registered for the full registration rate.
