15th Biennial Breastfeeding: Baby’s Natural Choice Conference
This conference will enable the learner to provide competent and successful support for breastfeeding through essential topics concerning common lactation issues such as mastitis, engorgement, and other common complications. We will focus on team-based approaches to bring awareness of the critical roles and responsibilities of the health care team when providing feeding support options while addressing behavioral health wellness and providing trauma-informed care to help overcome breastfeeding difficulties.
Conference Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Discuss techniques in practice for overcoming breastfeeding difficulties involving craniosacral therapy, trauma-informed care, and behavioral health approaches to wellness.
- Describe the varied guidance surrounding breast massage and how it can impact mastitis, engorgement/overproduction, and other breast complications.
- Summarize team-based strategies and responsibilities when determining feeding support options for tongue-tie babies and complementary feeding during breastfeeding.
