Region VII Radiation Response Team Training (Enduring Material Module Series)

This enduring material module series are recordings of previously held live presentations of Region VII Radiological Response Training webinars.

The goal of this module series is to assist medical and emergency response personnel in preparing for a response to a radiological incident.

The vision is to build an interconnected network of resources regionally to optimize available assets throughout each tier of the radiological response framework.

Printed FOUO material must be stored in a locked container, or a place offering protection against inadvertent access, unauthorized disclosure, compromise, or theft.
When no longer needed, printed FOUO material must be destroyed by shredding or burning.

Series Information

Target Audience

This enduring material module series is intended for medical and emergency response personnel who might respond to a radiation event.

Series Objectives

Upon completion of this enduring material module series, participants should be better able to:

Provide an overview of how a radiation incident differs from other more common incidents.
Identify the key players in a radiation response.
Describe the key players in a radiation response.
Describe emergency protective actions and zones as they pertain to a radiological event.

- Review the information for the specific module and complete an application form.
- We will review your application and send you information on how to register and access the module. Please allow 72 business hours for us to process your application.
The estimated time to complete each module is approximately 2 hours.
Each module will have a corresponding post-test and evaluation. To receive continuing education credit, you will have to successfully complete the post-test with 100% accuracy.
Access to these modules is available until Aug. 31, 2023.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Nebraska Medical Center and Nebraska Medicine. University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

The creation of the Regional Disaster Health Response Ecosystem (RDHRE) was made possible by a grant through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR). The RDHRE philosophy utilized an ecosystem model to ensure inclusivity, interconnectedness, redundancy and self-sustainment. The RDHRE program continues to grow and expand thanks to continued funding.
