Module Information
Upon completion of this on-demand module, participants should be better able to:
- Review data regarding the prevalence of end-stage kidney disease and the modalities of treatment.
- Discuss the impact of a limited supply of donated kidneys, including transplant candidacy and the waiting list.
- Describe ways that patients, providers and transplant teams can address the organ shortage, with emphasis on living donation.
- Briefly describe clinical trials available to Nebraska Medicine kidney transplant patients.
