The Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center is home to state-of-the-art facilities and provides support to shared resources at UNMC.

This cutting-edge research infrastructure provides cost-efficient access for our members and for researchers across and beyond the University of Nebraska.

Supporting researchers through expertise and infrastructure is part of our intentionally designed world-class cancer center, which brings together researchers, clinicians and patients, speeding research breakthroughs to patients.

Advanced Microscopy

The Advanced Microscopy Shared Resource offers a full spectrum of biomedical imaging modalities capable of capturing complex biological phenomena occurring at single molecule, sub-cellular and cellular resolution, and tissue/small organ levels.

Structural Biology

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and Crystallography services are key components of the Structural Biology Shared Resources. These resources play a crucial role in supporting the Basic Science research community at UNMC by supporting molecular-level research studies.

Biostatistics

The Biostatistics Shared Resource focuses on statistical application in life sciences. Since life sciences have a unique nature, they require specific quantitative tools in study design and data analysis to help address relevant scientific questions.

Preclinical Imaging

The Preclinical Imaging Shared Resource has state-of-the-art multiphoton intravital imaging equipment to acquire advanced descriptive and quantitative data from live animals and fixed samples requiring deep tissue illumination.

Molecular Biology

The Molecular Biology Shared Resource provides genomics services including Next Generation sequencing and Sanger DNA sequencing services; single cell genomics assays by 10x Genomics, and Nanostring technology targeted gene expression assays.

Flow Cytometry

The Flow Cytometry Shared Resource serves researchers and surrounding institutions by providing a central location for flow cytometry instrumentation and education.

Bioinformatics

The Bioinformatics Shared Resource fosters research and teaching activities related to bioinformatics and systems biology.

Pathology

The Pathology Tissue Science Facility (TSF) and the Tissue Procurement Shared Resource (TPSR) supports the research community at the UNMC for studies on animal and human tissues.
