Biostatistics Shared Resource
Supported by the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center (FPBCC) the Biostatistics Shared Resource focuses on statistical application in life sciences. Since life sciences have a unique nature, they require specific quantitative tools in study design and data analysis to help address relevant scientific questions.
Biostatistics Shared Resource Specific Aims:
- Support with expertise in study design and ensure proper study conduct.
- Monitor the conduct of FPBCC studies through participation in the Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB).
- Provide innovative and state-of-the-art biostatistical methodologies and study designs.
- Perform statistical analyses of projects as specified in the statistical analysis plan and collaborate with FPBCC members to interpret and report research findings.
- Provide expertise in data form development, data collection, data entry, data quality, and data management.
- Conduct statistical review of all FPBCC studies and protocols by serving on the Scientific Review Committee (SRC) and the Data and Safety Monitoring Board.
- Provide continuing education on statistical methods to FPBCC members.
