Although permitted to work in and around the MR environment, pregnant students are requested not to remain within the MR scanner bore or Zone IV during actual data acquisition or scanning.

The pregnancy policy is a voluntary program intended to provide safety for pregnant students and their fetus that are considered occupationally exposed to ionizing radiation. In the event of a suspected or confirmed pregnancy, it is the responsibility of the student to advise her program director in writing of her condition.
