This accredited continuing education activity is intended for primary care providers (physicians, NPs, PAs), and Nurses (RNs).

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this enduring material, the participants should be better able to:

Recognize the prevalence and impact of personality disorders in primary care settings.

Identify the defining characteristics and diagnostic criteria of personality disorders according to the DSM-5-TR.

Utilize screening tools to identify potential personality disorders effectively.

Develop an approach for managing patients with personality disorders, including appropriate referrals and treatment recommendations.

Develop tailored management plans for patients with personality disorders.

Apply best practices for communication and patient interaction.

Identify suitable therapeutic approaches. 
Employ pharmacologic treatments and interventions strategically.
