Primary Care Provider Workshop: Addressing behavioral health concerns with patients
BHECN’s Project PEACE (Psychiatric E-modules Advancing Clinician Education) is designed to equip Nebraska’s primary care providers with essential skills and knowledge to effectively address patient behavioral health concerns. This live workshop offers the opportunity to learn practical guidance on identifying behavioral health conditions and developing effective treatment plans.
Breakout sessions will explore key topics such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, and psychiatric emergencies. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss clinical challenges with expert presenters, and connect with other primary care providers across Nebraska to foster collaboration and build professional networks.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This accredited continuing education activity is intended for primary care providers in Nebraska, including physicians, physician associates, and nurses.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:
- Review criteria for the identification of behavioral health conditions and the development of appropriate treatment plans.
- Discuss questions and clinical challenges with subject matter experts related to addressing behavioral health conditions in a primary care setting.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and network building between primary care providers practicing in Nebraska.

Space for the workshop is limited and registration is required. There are no fees to attend.
