BHECN Panhandle Annual Conference 2025: Neurodivergence Across the Lifespan
The BHECN Panhandle Annual Conference 2025, titled Neurodivergence Across the Lifespan, will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM MT.
The conference will focus on understanding neurodivergence, including autism and intellectual disabilities, and will cover best practices for diagnosis, assessment, and treatment planning. Participants will also explore the roles of various healthcare providers in supporting neurodivergent individuals across the lifespan and identify evidence-based treatment strategies for children, adolescents, and adults.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This accredited continuing education activity is designed for clinical social workers, licensed psychologists, nurse practitioners, and licensed mental health practitioners (PLMHP, LMHP, & LIMHP), in rural areas of the state.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this activity, the participants should be better able to:
- Define neurodivergence including the conditions that fall within this category.
- Discuss best practices for ethical, effective and efficient diagnosis, assessment and treatment planning for neurodivergent conditions.
- Outline the roles and responsibilities of various provider disciplines in diagnosing, assessing and developing treatment plans for neurodivergent individuals.
- Articulate the presentation of autism and intellectual disabilities in adults and the resources for client care.
- Identify evidence-based treatment modalities for neurodivergent children, adolescents, and adults.
