Nebraska Behavioral Health Training Partnership

BHECN is steadfastly committed to the education and training of the future behavioral health workforce. As part of this mission, we support training sites across the state that deliver high-quality clinical care to rural and under-resourced communities and provide dedicated training opportunities for students in those communities.

The goals of this collaboration – known as the Nebraska Behavioral Health Training Partnership – are to create interdisciplinary, interprofessional clinical training experiences, gather data to inform trends along the workforce pipeline, increase trainee awareness of the types of opportunities available within behavioral health, and connect trainees and clinical sites for potential future employment. The members of the partnership are:

  • Western Nebraska Behavioral Health, Rushville
  • Great Plains Behavioral Health Center, North Platte
  • CHI Health: Richard Young Behavioral Health and Outpatient Clinic, Kearney
  • Columbus Psychiatry Clinic, Columbus
  • Ponca Tribe of Nebraska, Norfolk, (also serves Niobrara and Sioux City); Lincoln and Omaha
