Jody Tomanek, PhD
Dr. Jody Tomanek is Co-director of BHECN Southwest. She also is Vice President for Academic Affairs at Mid-Plains Community College and also serves as the Campus Vice President for the North Platte locations. Her responsibilities include leadership for all Instructional Areas of the college, including credit courses, curriculum development, transferability, dual credit/early entry, and faculty development for the College. Prior to working at Mid-Plains, Dr. Tomanek held numerous positions at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, including Assistant to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Coordinator of Program Development, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and numerous interim positions.
Dr. Tomanek is a native of Valley, has two associate degrees from Metropolitan Community College in Omaha; a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Bellevue University; a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; and a Doctoral degree in Community College Leadership from Iowa State University.
