Your Education
Our fellowship provides a thorough, well-rounded education through rotations, electives, clinical experiences and lectures.
Rotations
- Seven months, adult cardiac anesthesia
- One month, thoracic anesthesia
- One month, critical care
- Three-plus months of two- or four-week elective rotations: Cardiac anesthesia, perioperative echo service and more

- Adult cath lab with cardiologists

- Community hospital cardiothoracic anesthesia
- Adult echo lab with cardiologists

- Additional adult cardiac anesthesia

Clinical Experiences
The following are average procedures adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellows can expect to perform. Major vascular procedures include thorocoabdominal aneurysm repair, total arch, TEVAR and AAA. Operating equipment available includes three to four cardiac operating rooms, three hybrid operating rooms and two thoracic ORs.
