Research Interests
- Identifying the key proteins and RNAs present in the extracellular vehicles (EVs) derived from natural sources and glial cells that have immunomodulatory role to affect the immunoinflammatory processes in degenerating brain.
- Using proteomic and transcriptomics analyses of EVs isolated from natural sources, to explore the anti-inflammatory potential of EVs and their cargo proteins and RNA to restrict the inflammatory processes in Alzheimer’s Disease and Parkinson’s Disease mouse brain.
- Exploring the RNA binding proteins identified by proteomic approaches to use them to target and load specific RNA e., gRNA or siRNA to deliver to target tissues to remove the residual HIV infection from the brain of humanized mouse model of HIV, using extracellular vesicles isolated from natural sources as a potential loading vehicle.
