Sydney Randall M’20 
Bennington, Neb., recently joined the Nebraska Medicine Olson Center for Women’s Health as a general OB-GYN, upon the completion of her residency there.

Denver, Colo., joined Studio Z Dental in Louisville, Colorado in July 2024.  

Ankita Sarawagi M’20 
Underwood, Iowa, joined Omaha OBGYN Associates, P.C., in September 2024, after completing her residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In addition to caring for her patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs and is trying to master the art of sourdough in her free time.

Omaha, Neb., joined Boys Town Pediatrics in June 2024. 

Janean Wedeking, Family Medicine ‘20 
Charles City, Iowa, joined the Floyd County Medical Center in July 2024, as a family medicine provider. Most recently, she served the United States Air Force as an outpatient family medicine physician at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. 

Emma Bartling N’21 
Kearney, Neb., practices at Kearney Regional Medical Center, where she is trying to learn as much as she can to be an empathetic nurse to all of the patients that she serves. 

Amanda Boender D’21 
Lincoln, Neb., joined Bundy Family Dentistry in Ashland, Nebraska, in July 2023. The practice is owned by fellow alumnus, Robert Bundy D’13. She credits her introduction to the practice of dentistry to her childhood neighbor, Kent Dodson D’87. 

Julia Dirkse MN’21 
Kansas City, Mo., is working as a dietitian at the University of Kansas Health Systems in the Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU. 

Garret Dockweiler M’21
Chadron, Neb., joined Chadron Community Hospital and Health Services in September 2024, upon completion of his residency in family medicine in Waco, Texas. He sees patients at the Chadron Medical Clinic, provides coverage in the emergency room, offers obstetric services, and colonoscopies for Chadron Community Hospital. He enjoys fishing and working on house projects and he and his wife are parents to two children.

Hastings, Neb., married Ali Tanbouza P’23, and they bought their first home in May 2024. She is a hospitalist at Mary Lanning Healthcare, and he works in the pharmacy there.

Lincoln, Neb., welcomed a daughter, Evelyn Rose, to their family in February 2024. She joins big sister, Grace Magdalene (age 2). 

Bryant Carlson M’22 
Albion, Neb., joined the Boone County Health Center in Albion in the fall of 2025, upon the completion of his family medicine residency. He is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying activities ranging from gardening and hiking to hunting and fishing. His dedication to the profession extends beyond clinical practice; he is known for his homemade cinnamon rolls and his commitment to daily mental challenges like Wordle and mini crosswords.

Fort Worth, Texas, is in a master’s degree program pursuing a psychiatric nurse practitioner designation.

Fargo, N.D., joined the Essentia Health 32nd Avenue Clinic in March 2024, where he specializes in pain medicine.

Bellevue, Neb., works in sports and orthopedic medicine and rehabilitation in Omaha.

San Diego, Calif., and her husband, William, welcomed a baby girl, Sadie May, in February 2024.  

Halle Mallard GS’23
Omaha, Neb., joined the UNMC College of Allied Health Professions in 2024, as an assistant professor in the Department of Allied Health Professions Education, Research, & Practice. At UNMC, she trained under the mentorship of Gargi Ghosal, PhD, studying how Ewing sarcoma (bone cancer) cells evade cell death. Additionally, as a student of the Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology Anatomy Teaching Track program, she gained experience teaching gross anatomy, neuroanatomy, and histology. 

Brian Whitcomb N’23 
Navarre, Fla., begins his Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner training in fall 2024 at the University of Alabama. 

Nicholas Bohannon M’24
Tyler, Texas, was recognized in the fall of 2024 by the Nebraska Medical Association as the Student Advocate of the Year.

Allison Donnelly P’24 
York, Neb., is the pharmacy manager at the York Walgreens.  

Anthony Ridder N’24
West Point, Neb., joined the Pender Community Hospital and Medical Clinics as a nurse practitioner in the fall of 2024.
