Jesse Umbra, MHPTT, RDCS, RVT

Jesse is a highly skilled and dedicated instructor in the field of sonography, currently teaching in both the College of Allied Health Professions’ Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and the College of Medicine. She holds ARDMS credentials in adult cardiac and vascular sonography and has recently earned her Advanced Cardiac Sonography (ACS) registration. In addition, Jesse serves as the Associate Director of Point-of-Care Ultrasound Education, where she plays an integral role in developing and advancing  physician educational programs in ultrasound technology.

Jesse earned a master’s degree in Health Professions Teaching & Technology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a sonography degree from Bryan College of Health Sciences. She teaches in a variety of settings, including classroom, lab, and clinical environments, and also provides instruction to medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals in both clinical and simulation-based settings.

With a strong commitment to both education and clinical excellence, Jesse continues to contribute to the advancement of ultrasound practice through her expertise in training the next generation of sonographers and clinicians.
