Jannelle Reynolds, MPAS, PA-C

Jannelle Reynolds, MPAS, PA-C, serves as an Associate Professor in the College of Allied Health Professions at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and is the Simulation Director for the Physician Assistant program. Prior to her academic appointment, she accumulated seven years of experience in rural healthcare, specializing in plastic and reconstructive surgery, breast care, and wound care. Currently, she volunteers as a physician assistant at the Kearney Community Free Clinic, where she provides primary medical care at no cost to uninsured, low-income residents. Her exceptional contributions to the field have earned her several prestigious awards, including the Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants in 2023, the iEXCEL Collaborative/IPE Award in 2022 for her work in developing an Interprofessional Telehealth Human Simulation course, and the University of Nebraska at Kearney Counseling and School Psychology Outstanding Partner Award in 2021.

Professor Reynolds is an active participant in various professional conferences, including the Physician Assistant Education Association Forums and the American Academy of Physician Associates Conferences. Her research and presentations primarily focus on advancing educational methodologies and fostering interprofessional collaboration. She has a deep passion for teaching and mentoring physician assistant students, which drives her commitment to excellence in education and healthcare. Her dedication to nurturing future healthcare professionals ensures they are well-prepared to meet the challenges of an evolving medical landscape.
