Dr. Mallard is an assistant professor in the College of Allied Health Professions. She received her bachelor’s degree from South Dakota State University in 2016. While at SDSU, Dr. Mallard taught anatomy and decided to pursue anatomy education as a career. She received her PhD from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2023. Her graduate research focused on ways in which oncogenic drivers of the bone cancer Ewing sarcoma promote cell survival. Additionally, graduate training allowed her to hone skills as an educator, gaining experience teaching gross anatomy, neuroanatomy, and histology.
