SUN-APTA Career Fair

The Students of the University of Nebraska American Physical Therapy Association (SUN-APTA) host the annual UNMC Physical Therapy Networking and Career Fair in October.

The Career Fair is a great opportunity for your organization, as well as our students, to meet with future employers while promoting what your company has to offer.

Registration for the 2024 Career Fair (October 11th) is now closed.

Details and registration information for the 2025 Career Fair will be posted at a later date.

Tentative Schedule of Events

10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Arrival and Setup
11:15 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. Lunch
12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. Meet 1st-Year PT Students
12:45 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Meet 2nd-Year PT Students
2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Meet 3rd-Year PT Students
3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Take-down
*UNMC Occupational Therapy students have been invited to attend the SUN-APTA Career Fair, and their participation will be distributed throughout the afternoon.

Registration

The registration donation of $300 includes a 6’ display table with cover, privacy dividers, 2 folding chairs, and lunch for two representatives (additional lunches available for $20 each).

Campus Parking Map. Parking permits are not required the day of the Career Fair.

Donations Support:

  1. The scholarly and professional development of PT Students
    • To attend CSM, International Service Trips, etc.
  2. Donating to:
    • Hosting inter-professional clinics (UNMC’s SHARING Clinic) for underserved individuals in our community
    • American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and APTA Nebraska
    • Various philanthropic activities
  3. Projects:
    • The Young Athletes Program - an exercise program to prepare young people who are not yet old enough to participate in the Special Olympics
    • Annual Joint Effort volleyball tournament: hosted with students at Creighton University to raise money for the Nebraska Arthritis Foundation
  4. Hosting campus events to raise awareness of PT as a profession
    • Campus events during Physical Therapy Month
    • Presentations to physical therapy clubs at UNO and UNL
    • Compensating speakers to share their expertise in a variety of educational topics
  5. Many other opportunities
