Deadlines

Application Open: October 1, 2023
Priority Application Close: February 5, 2024
Final Application Close: July 1, 2024 (if spots remain available)
Interviews: February & March 2024

October
Application Opens. Online application for admission opens in RF-PTCAS.

February
Priority Application Deadline. Application and official transcripts MUST be submitted by the deadline.

Mid-February
Interview Notification. Applicants will be contacted by CAHP Enrollment Management and Student Affairs if they have been selected for an interview. Notifications will come via the email address provided in the residency application.

March
Interview Sessions. Interviews consist of program overview and an individual interview with admission committee members. Campus tours may also be arranged.

Late March – early April
Admission Notification. Electronic notification letters are sent to all applicants via the email address provided in their application.

July 1
Final application deadline. Those who apply after the priority deadline will be evaluated on a rolling basis, with interviews scheduled throughout the spring.

July/August
Incoming residents must be licensed to practice in the state of Nebraska, and complete all employment requirements (background check, drug testing) prior to start date (details will be shared upon acceptance into the program).

~August 1st
Program begins. Please contact ptresidency@unmc.edu if taking the board exam in July to discuss start date options.
