Professional licensure/certification requirements vary from state to state, which may affect a student’s ability to apply for a professional license/certification upon the completion of the program.
Please check with your advisor, department chair, or certification officer for further details.
Computed Tomography Practicum
Upon successful completion of the Computed Tomography practicum, students are eligible to apply for the national examination for certification and registration in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Upon successfully passing the ARRT certification exam, individuals should refer to the American Society of Radiologic Technologists Individual State Licensure Information page for specific CT licensure requirements for the state in which they are planning to work.
Licensure and certification laws vary greatly and are implemented differently in each state. Some states may have individual requirements unrelated to educational training, such as fingerprinting, background checks, and other requirements. Refer to individual states’ licensure information for specific requirements.
