Move your scholarship to publication.

Whether you have a project on your desk that should be disseminated in a scholarly journal or are looking for a supportive first-publication experience, the Innovations in Health Sciences Education Journal is for you.

IHSEJ is a free, online, open-access, peer-reviewed journal published by the Interprofessional Academy of Educators.

The journal publishes emerging research and pilot studies in the field of medical and health professions education. We specialize in publishing methodologically rigorous, emerging studies in the field of health sciences education.

Our purpose is to disseminate developing work, particularly from graduate students and early-career scholars, and to make it accessible to potential funders and other researchers who might be interested in collaborating on larger-scale studies that can contribute to best practices in health professions education.

Academy members receive personalized editorial service for submissions to IHSEJ as a benefit of membership, which may include support such as a meeting ahead of submission to guide authors in common formatting and organization of writing for publication. We are also happy to discuss reviewer recommendations in a virtual or in-person meeting after submission.
