The primary purpose of the Office of Academic Affairs is to enhance and enrich the academic experiences of students and faculty at UNMC. To achieve this goal, we offer a variety of institutional services:
The Office of Academic Services manages recruitment and appointments, processes promotion and tenure actions, handles retirements and more.
The Office of Community Engagement connects the scientific expertise of UNMC with the health needs of the local area with the goal of enhancing UNMC's relationship with our community and broadening academia beyond the classroom.
ConnectED, a blog for educators by educators, is your one-stop resource for everything education, whether you are a faculty member wanting to boost your teaching skills or a staff member looking for new ways to assist faculty with learner engagement and higher-order thinking. Read the blog.
UNMC's Diversity Initiative is run by a diversity council who works to create an environment of inclusion for students, faculty, patients and visitors.
The Education Council is the source of most of the campus-wide educational policies and procedures and is engaged in campus-wide strategic planning to guide the individual college strategic goals.
The McGoogan Library of Medicine provides timely access to print and electronic materials, develops applications of information technology and more.
The Office of Institutional Research collects, maintains and disseminates data regarding UNMC students and faculty.
