Third-party comments accepted for comprehensive evaluation

On Nov. 28-29, the Higher Learning Commission will visit UNMC to conduct a comprehensive evaluation for institutional re-accreditation. UNMC has been continuously accredited since 1913. The university last underwent a comprehensive self-study and site visit during the 2006-07 academic year.

Detailed campuswide planning for the coming visit has been ongoing since June of 2014 with five committees consisting of faculty, administrators, staff and students working to ensure that all components of the accreditation are being addressed.  Please see in the menu at left pages containing detailed information on the process involved  along with a draft of the current plan including the Timeline, Committees involved and a draft Assurance Argument.  All UNMC faculty, staff and students are strongly encouraged to review this information and give input as edits will continue prior to the final submission to the HLC on Oct. 31, 2016.

As part of its federal compliance process, the HLC invites the public to provide written comments, which are forwarded to the HLC evaluation team to include in their review of the institution. To be considered, comments are due in HLC's office by mid-October.

For more details, or to submit comments, visit the HLC website, or mail comments to:
