The research outlook:
• Nearly 400 research projects are underway at UNMC today, in bench science labs, translational research centers and clinical trials.
• UNMC’s research funding from external sources now exceeds $100 million annually and has resulted in the creation of more than 3,200 highly skilled jobs in the state.
• Durham Research Center and Durham Research Center II are home to a combined total of 215 labs and more than 550,000 square feet of space dedicated to research.
Research News
The $100M mark in research funding is a great achievement for the UNMC scientists, and we're in a celebratory mood today; but we also know the challenges ahead as we move toward the $200M mark.
