Nuclear Medicine

Nuclear Medicine is a medical specialty that is used to image the function of organs and to treat disease. The Nuclear Medicine procedures are safe and non-invasive, using small amounts of radiopharmaceuticals administered by trained technologists. The amount of exposure is similar to a diagnostic X-ray.

Nuclear Medicine exams are performed on most organs of the body with the patient population ranging from pediatrics to the elderly. The information gathered from the procedures is read and interpreted by our Nuclear Medicine Physician.
