The University of Nebraska Medical Center's Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) Behavioral Health Clinics offer services to children, adolescents, and their families for developmental, behavioral, emotional, social, and academic issues. These clinics are a cooperative effort between community pediatricians/family practice physicians and the Psychology Department at MMI.
Sessions typically are scheduled weekly or every other week. The number of subsequent sessions depends on the nature and severity of the issue, but between five to ten visits are common. Services generally are covered under the mental health portion of most insurance plans, including Medicaid. If you are unsure about coverage, please contact your insurance carrier or the benefits office at your place of employment to ask about coverage. For more information, go to the Rural Clinics for locations and therapist.
