iPhone Outlook Setup

Outlook Email Setup for your iPhone / iPad

The enterprise utilizes Microsoft ActiveSync to access your Outlook email from your mobile device.  You can only have two devices synced (i.e. your iPhone and iPad, or Droid and iPad, etc.)

From your i-Device

1. Getting Started

If this is the first email account setup on this device tap Mail
If an email account is already setup on this device tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account.
2. Tap Exchange

3. Fill in the boxes as follows

Email enter your full work email address (examples: kstrohbe@unmc.edu or kstrohbe@nebraskamed.com
Password enter your password for your UNMC NetID or Olympus account
Description Change the description to something that is meaningful to you "UNMC Email", "TNMC Email" etc.

4. Tap Next

5. Fill in the boxes as follows:

Email prefilled from previous screen  
Server UNMC employees enter as.unmc.edu
  TNMC employees enter as.nebraskamed.com
  UNMC P employees enter as.unmc.edu
Domain UNMC enters unmc_domain
  TNMC enters olympus
  UNMCP enters unmcphysicians
User Name enter user shortname (i.e. kstrohbe)  
Password prefilled from previous screen  
Description prefilled from previous screen  
6. Tap Next on the upper right corner of the screen.
7. Choose the type of information you want to synchronize. By default, Mail, Calendar, and Contacts are all turned on. To turn off synchronization for a type of information, tap and slide the switch to OFF.
8. Tap Save
9. If you're prompted to create a new pass code, tap Continue and enter a numeric pass code. You'll need to enter the pass code twice.

Caution: If you tap Close, you'll need to configure your pass code in the iPhone Settings application before you can view your information on your iPhone.
