Cancer Genes and Molecular Regulation Program (CGMRP)

The goals of the Cancer Genes and Molecular Regulation Program (CGMRP) are to identify and characterize intracellular mechanisms that contribute to cell transformation, characterize and validate components of these mechanisms as targets for therapeutic intervention or as biomarkers for detection in cancer, devise strategies for the improved delivery of drugs directed at these and other useful targets of cancer therapy. The program is organized along three major themes:

  • Signal Transduction - Characterization and dissection of pathways affecting carcinogenesis
  • Target Evaluation - Analysis of putative targets for cancer therapy; development of preclinical models.
  • Drug delivery - Analysis and testing of novel methods for drug delivery and cancer therapy.
