These partnerships not only advance scientific and economic growth, but also help meet the need of improved Chinese medical care, higher quality health care workers, and better medical products for the people of China in this new century.

The China Scholarship Council is the Chinese Ministry of Education’s non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to the Chinese citizens wishing to study abroad and to the foreign citizens wishing to study in China. Through this exchange and collaboration, the CSC helps to not only develop the educational, scientific and technological, and cultural exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between China and other countries, but also strengthen the friendship and understanding between Chinese people and the people of all other countries.

Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences is the first graduate school in China to gain the approval of the State Council.  Headquartered in Beijing, and backed by more than one hundred national research institutes and other research units of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the school is the most comprehensive and prestigious post-graduate educational institution in China, covering almost all the fields in science and technology. 

Shandong University is one of the largest universities in China by student population and is supported directly by the national government. Since its founding in 1901, it has evolved from multiple mergers and restructuring that makes it one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in China. Classified as a National Key University, Shandong University offers master and doctoral degree programs in all major academic disciplines covering the humanities, science and engineering, as well as medicine, where research is particularly strong in the areas of medicine, mathematics, and physics.

Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine is one of the oldest and most influential top universities in China, as well as a first class medical university. Ever since its foundation, the medical school has enjoyed the reputation as a leading institution of research and higher education in China. It is comprised of ten colleges, six affiliated general hospitals and 15 teaching hospitals, one vocational nursing school, and one national key nursing school. 

Tongji University is one of the leading universities directly under the State Ministry of Education in China. Formerly Tongji German Medical School established in 1907, it is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher education in China. As a university that had established a reputation for its research, Tongji became one of the first group of universities which were authorized by the China State Council to establish its Graduate School. After several expansions and mergers, Tongji University has become a comprehensive university that offers a wide range of programs in sciences, engineering, medicine, arts, law, economics and management.

Xi’an Jiaotong University Health Science Center is one of most prestigious universities in China. In the National Program of Action for Educational Revitalization in the 21st Century, the State Council of China named the Xi'an school as being the only university in the central and western regions of China that will be promoted as a potential world-class university. Similar to the geographic location of UNMC in Nebraska, the university is located in the midwest region of China.
