degree advancement options
The School of Allied Health Professions offers several degree advancement options (DAOs) for working healthcare professionals. Each DAO is a great opportunity for healthcare professionals to earn an advanced degree while continuing to work in their professions. Qualified candidates are assigned an advisor, who works with each student to develop an Individual Plan of Study (IPS) for degree completion.
The Individual Plan of Study includes the program curriculum and tailors each professional's clinical and educational background with his or her professional goals. Students are allowed up to five years to complete each degree advancement option with the exception of the Physician Assistant program. The Physician Assistant DAO is completed in one year. The pace at which each student progresses is determined by the individual, creating a flexible and convenient learning environment that allows students to work in their home communities while completing their degree.
