Residency Status

Qualifying for residency for tuition purposes at the University of Nebraska differs from what is normally required to be considered a "resident" of the State of Nebraska. A person may be considered a "resident" of Nebraska and still be Non-Resident for tuition purposes. More information regarding residency status can be found at UNMC Nebraska Residency.

Health Insurance

Please note: Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program students must have health insurance throughout their enrollment in the program. This requirement can be met by purchasing a University-endorsed plan, or the student can provide evidence of comparable coverage through spouse’s, employer’s, parents', or personal plan, in which case the fee is waived.

Kearney Differential

For those students accepted to the Kearney campus, there is a nominal cost differential resulting from fees generated for miscellaneous items such as the campus newspaper, access to sporting events on the UNK campus, and a multicultural allocation. This nominal cost cannot be waived. For more specific information regarding the fees, please contact the College of Allied Health Professions' Academic and Student Affairs Office at 402-559-6673.

Housing and Living Allowances

Information about housing both on and off campus may be found at the UNMC housing website. Housing and living expenses are not included in the estimated tuition and related expenses above. See the financial aid office for details on living allowances.

Technology Requirement

All students are required to have a computing device for use in the program. Financial aid is available for students who need it. Refer to this list of computers specs needed for the program. Contact the UNMC Financial Aid office to request funding for the device requirement.
