Accreditation

Accreditation for Diagnostic Cytology

The UNMC Diagnostic Cytology Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon recommendation of the Cytotechnology Programs Review Committee (CPRC) of the American Society of Cytopathology (ASC), American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Society for Cytotechnology (ASCT), and College of American Pathologists (CAP).

The 16-month program leads to a Master of Diagnostic Cytology degree and eligibility for national certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
